ACS ShopCart 2.0 Startup Help

Scroll down this page to find the browser you are using. There will be information about how to enable JavaScript and Cookies, both of which are required to use the ACS ShopCart 2 system.

Microsoft Internet Explorer:
 


To Allow JavaScript in Internet Explorer you should do the following...
Click your mouse on Tools from the main menu at the top of your browser window. Select Internet Options and click again. This will open the Internet Options screen. As you can see from the picture below there are several tabs across the top of the screen. Click the Security Tab and you should be looking at a screen similar to the one below. Make sure the "Zone" you are going to change in the Internet Zone. This is shown by the picture of the globe being highlighted and the word Internet will be displayed in the grey area below the white colored box. At this point all you need to do is click the "Default Level" button near the lower right of the screen. Then Click OK and your done.
Click the Try Again Button at the bottom of this page to enter the store.

 
 


To Allow Cookies in Internet Explorer you should do the following...
Click your mouse on Tools from the main menu at the top of your browser window. Select Internet Options and click again. This will open the Internet Options screen. As you can see from the picture below there are several tabs across the top of the screen. Click the Privacy Tab and you should be looking at a screen similar to the one below. Using your mouse, move the Slide Bar located on the left side of the main screen to Medium High. Then Click OK.
Click the Try Again Button at the bottom of this page to enter the store.

 



Netscape 7:
 


To Allow JavaScript in Netscape 7 you should do the following...
Click Edit on the main menu at the top of your browser window, select Preferences at the bottom and click. This will open a screen similar to the one shown below. In the Category Window click Advanced then click Scripts & Plugins. In the Right Window you need to check Enable JavaScript for Navigator. The rest of the boxes on this screen may be checked also, as shown in the example. Then Click OK.
Click the Try Again Button at the bottom of this page to enter the store.

 
 


To Allow Cookies in Netscape 7 you should do the following...
Click Edit on the main menu at the top of your browser window, select Preferences at the bottom and click. This will open a screen similar to the one shown below. In the Category Window click Privacy & Security then click Cookies. In the Right Window make your settings match the settings in the example. These settings allow sites to work but delete all cookies when you close your browser. Then Click OK.
Click the Try Again Button at the bottom of this page to enter the store.

 



Mozilla FireFox:
 


To Allow JavaScript in FireFox you should do the following...
Click Tools on the main menu at the top of your browser window, select Options at the bottom and click. This will open a screen similar to the one shown below. In the Left Window click Web Features. In the Right Window make sure Enable JavaScript is checked. Then Click OK.
Click the Try Again Button at the bottom of this page to enter the store.

 
 


To Allow Cookies in FireFox you should do the following...
Click Tools on the main menu at the top of your browser window, select Options at the bottom and click. This will open a screen similar to the one shown below. In the Left Window click Privacy. In the Right Window click the + next to Cookies. Check the Box next to "Allow Sites to Set Cookies". You may also wish to limit the life of cookies as in the example. To do this, click the Arrow next to Keep Cookies and make your selection from the drop down box. Then Click OK.
Click the Try Again Button at the bottom of this page to enter the store.

 



Other Browsers:
 


Most browsers operate similar to the ones listed above. By using the examples shown you should be able to find where the Options or Preferences for your browser are located. Cookie settings are the main problem for people using on-line stores and are normally found under the Privacy settings. Remember that all you need to do is set your browser to accept cookies, and allow JavaScript to run. From the examples above you can see that this is normally just a case of checking a box or resetting security to the default value. If your really having problems with your browser you may want to consider downloading one of the browsers below. We recommend FireFox. It's Fast, Free, and unlike Opera, it is Not Adware.
